Fabric Flowers

Not only did these fabric flowers give the attendants that extra something special for their dresses they also became a cute keepsake for after the wedding. As a pin on accessory it makes it easy to put them on anything from your purse to a jacket. These flowers were also made from the extra fabric from all the attendants dresses after alterations, so they were a perfect match and a money saver.

The Perfect Match

Attendants wore David's Bridal dresses in clover while caring there own signature color of spring in the flowers. With five attendants each representing a different color the end result was a spring mix of colorful delight. Instead of a traditional stem wrap on the bouquets we went with a fabric wrap that complimented the monochromatic color pallet, very soft and feminine. Each of the bouquets also matched the groomsmen boutonnieres with the same fabric accent on a much smaller scale. Too cute!

Boutonnieres

Just a touch of color. These boutonnieres add just the right amount of texture and color to compliment all the other flowers in the bouquets and other corsages.

Corsages With a Twist

The silver wire details really connect with the theme of this wedding, fun and elegant. When adding other elements to your wedding flowers you can really highlight the personality and interests of both the bride and groom. These photos show good examples of both wrist and pin on corsages.

Every Detail Counts

Whimsical wire detail on the bouquet wrap and included within the flowers themselves really make a statement and adds another element of fun and texture. White pearl pins seen in the ornate stem wrap details and placed in the centers of certain flowers really compliments the brides jewelry she will be wearing on her special day.

A Spring Bouquet

A beautiful example of what a mix of many different spring flowers can look like if you choose to have a full and textural bouquet. Added bonus this bouquet is full of fragrance thanks to the freesia!

Munchkins

"The Wizard of Oz"
It was a treat being able to play a small part in the Menomonie Theater Guilds version of such an amazing classic. Creating the colorful life to Munchkin land was my job...so I started by making fabric, feather, ribbon and paper flowers for all 16 Munchkins. These colorful concoctions were also seen in the set design, props and on all the tiny cast members costume accessories. Handcrafting flower headbands, pins, bow ties, hat flowers, and mini blooms for Munchkin shoes was not a tiny task, but in the end a one of a kind experience. Meeting all these over the top amazing kids and learning about what goes into making these productions was so much fun!!!

A bouquet fit for Dorthy.
Flower prop used as a gift for Dorthy from the Munchkins. These were the first fabric and paper flowers I made for the production. Creating a wire form is the beginning step in making the flowers shape and size. Picking out patterns, colors, and fun fabric combinations is my favorite part in the designing process. Cutting out each petal was the time consuming last detail of making the finished flower. All the blossoms seen in the set design were more complex and much, much larger! This bouquet has such a whimsical style it really looked the part.
